Puget Sound National Civic Education Project

Funded in part by the Earth Day Network’s National Civic Education Project, the Clean Water Challenge goes school wide and takes action! We continue to teach the science behind storm water, waste water, and drinking water. Humanities team now teaches Common Core reading strategies for non-fiction texts of water quality issues around the world. Then students created an action persuasive poster to inform folks of their understanding. The math department gathers and uses water resource data for their data unit. The tech department has created audio and visual Public Service Announcements. The special ed department has created rain gardens with their students. The art department created beads to benefit www.studentsrebuild.org. See it all show cased at our Science Night!
